These are not my stories, but they are stories that I have heard and are very dear to the heart. I hope you enjoy them;
There once was a native american grand father talking to his grand son. The grand father was telling the story of this vicious battle that was taking place deep inside of him. It was a battle between two wolves. The one wolf was nice and kind. Very giving and forgiving. Very loving, gentle and kind. Courageous, courteous, and brave. He would do anything for anyone if they would just ask. This was the kind of wolf that anyone would want for his friend. But the other one was mean, hateful, and nasty. Noone wanted to be around him. He used nasty and hateful words and he would hurt anyone who didn't agree with him. He was very loud and forceful and would even annoy the birds and squirrels that were in the trees trying to nest. They would leave when he was around. He had no friends because he was awful.
The grand son was worried and concerned. He asked his grand father, "who will win this fierce and brutal battle, Grand Father?"
And the grand father answered, "The one I feed, will win."
You see they both live in us and it is up to us who we want to be. It is a choice that you make and it is in that choice that tells people who you really are.
Here's another story that I heard on the radio:
There once were a bunch of frogs that were in a race and if they win, good things would happen to them. The race was to climb this skycraper, which is a tall building like you see in big cities. There were hundreds of frogs and the audience began to talk, "They will never make it! The frogs are so little and the buildings are so tall, it is impossible!" said the audience.
But the frogs were off! They started to jump, higher and faster. They jumped right on the building and they began to climb. As they climbed they could still here the audience scream, "You can't do it! It's too steep and too long. You'll never make it!" And each time the audience screamed out, more and more frogs bailed out and quit. But there was this one frog who just kept jumping. Not being discouraged from what the crowd was saying. There were still a few frogs left, still jumping and climbing, but each time the crowd began to roar, "It's too hard! They can't do it!" More and more frogs bailed out, but that one frog. He was now in the lead. Passing all of the other frogs that were stopped or that were headed down to the ground. This frog seemed very determined. He was going to climb this building no matter what the crowd shouted. As time went on, this frog was the only one left and he finally made it to the top of the building and the crowd went wild, "He did it! I can't believe that he did it!" screamed the crowd. He was now headed back down. The crowd was amazed and was applauding very loudly. They could not believe that this little frog made his way to the very top of this skyscraper. As the frog made his way to the ground the media ran to ask, "How did you do it? What kept you going?"
The frog did not respond because you see he was deaf. He could not hear what he couldn't do. He didn't know that he couldn't do it. He just knew what he was suppose to do and he did it.
The moral of the story; Believe in yourself and you will even amaze yourself! Don't listen to the nay sayers and hang out with yeah sayers!
